From a TikTok page to files on your computer in six steps
KeepTik works inside desktop Chrome, next to the TikTok page you have open. There’s no link to paste and no website that downloads for you — everything starts on TikTok.
Add KeepTik to Chrome
Install KeepTik from the Chrome Web Store in desktop Chrome 116 or later, on Windows, Mac or any computer that runs Chrome. The extension follows Chrome’s language: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian or Simplified Chinese.
Pin the KeepTik icon if you like. On a TikTok tab, clicking it opens the side panel; anywhere else, it switches to TikTok or opens it.
Download the video you’re watching
Open any TikTok video. A Download button appears under its caption — on the video page and in the For You and Following feeds. One click saves the MP4 without watermark.
Open the button’s menu, or the side panel, to choose the version: the highest quality TikTok offers (HD when available) or a more compatible H.264 file. Each version shows its resolution, codec and size.
- Single downloads go to Downloads/KeepTik/{creator}/Single/.
- The side panel shows “Saved on …” when you’ve saved the post before.
Open a profile and choose what to scan
For a batch, open a TikTok profile and click the KeepTik icon. Tick the lists to scan — Videos, Reposts, Favorites and Liked — and start. KeepTik reads each list page by page and shows a running count.
Liked and Favorites can only be read when TikTok shows them to the account you’re signed in with. KeepTik never asks for your TikTok password.
Preview, filter and select
Every post shows its thumbnail, caption, date, views, likes and quality. Filter by type and date, sort by newest, most views or most likes, and tick the posts you want. Posts you saved before and promoted posts are left unchecked.
Pick a folder and download
Click Download and choose a folder — once for the whole batch. Files go straight into it, in subfolders for the profile and list, with no save dialog for each file.
Keep the side panel open while it runs: closing it pauses the task, and a sleeping computer doesn’t download. One task runs at a time. You can pause, resume and change the pace in Settings.
Check the result and export it
When the batch ends, every selected post is saved, partly saved, failed, skipped or not started, with a reason. Retry the failed ones in one click. KeepTik also tells you if a list wasn’t scanned to the end.
Export the list as CSV or JSON. The task stays in the Tasks tab until you delete it.
Questions, answered plainly.
What KeepTik does, what it doesn’t, and what TikTok still decides.
Do I paste a TikTok link anywhere?
No. KeepTik works on the TikTok page open in your browser. keeptik.com has no link box and downloads nothing.
What happens if I close the side panel?
The current task pauses, the KeepTik icon shows a badge and the TikTok page shows a notice. Reopen the panel on the same tab to continue.
Which Chrome version do I need?
Desktop Chrome 116 or later. KeepTik doesn’t run in mobile browsers.
Why does Chrome ask me to choose a folder?
So the whole batch can be written into one folder without a save dialog for every file. Chrome may ask again after a restart; KeepTik pauses and asks you to click once.
See your first download in a click.
Install KeepTik, open a TikTok video and press Download under the caption.
