Extension data and website data are separate
KeepTik has no account system. The extension does not send usage statistics; this website uses Cloudflare analytics and Google Analytics to measure visits and performance. This page explains what the extension stores locally and what the website processes when you visit or send feedback.
What the extension processes
KeepTik reads the TikTok page you have open — which profile, video or feed post is on screen — and asks TikTok for the profile, list and post details it needs, using your existing TikTok session in that tab. Videos and photos download from TikTok’s media servers straight to your computer.
Media files and media links are never sent to keeptik.com. The extension doesn’t send usage statistics, and it doesn’t need a KeepTik account. It never asks for your TikTok password.
What stays in your browser
Settings are kept in Chrome’s extension storage. Tasks, the result for each post (post ID, link, creator, caption, counts, file names and status), the list of posts you’ve saved, folders you’ve used and the folders you picked for batches are kept in the extension’s own database in this browser. Media links are not stored.
KeepTik automatically keeps the latest 30 finished tasks and every unfinished one, and the latest 2,000 single-download records. You can delete a finished task or clear all finished tasks in the Tasks tab; that also removes the download history linked to them. Uninstalling KeepTik removes its data from Chrome. Saved files are never deleted by KeepTik.
Permissions and why they’re needed
KeepTik asks only for what it uses. It doesn’t request access to your tabs, cookies or other websites.
- downloads — save single posts and exported reports, and show them in Chrome’s downloads
- storage — remember your settings in this browser
- sidePanel — show profile lists, previews, task controls and results beside TikTok
- tiktok.com — read the TikTok page you’re on and request accessible profile and post details
- TikTok media servers (tiktokcdn.com and its regional versions) — load previews, portraits and the files you save
- keeptik.com — KeepTik’s own website
When you uninstall
Chrome opens keeptik.com/feedback after you remove KeepTik. The page address includes the extension version and the number of days since installation. Opening the page sends these parameters and standard request data, such as your IP address and browser information, to the website and Cloudflare, even if you do not submit the form. Your feedback message and optional email address are sent only when you submit the form.
What keeptik.com processes
This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and protect the site. The site sets a cookie, KEEPTIK_LOCALE, to remember the language you used or picked for a year.
The website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics / Real User Monitoring (RUM). When a page loads, your browser sends the page address, browser information and performance metrics such as page load times to Cloudflare to measure website visits and performance. This website analytics is separate from the extension, which does not send usage statistics.
The website also uses Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies to distinguish visits and sends page addresses, browser and device information, and interaction events to Google to measure website use. Our tracking configuration disables Google signals and advertising personalization. This tracking runs on the website, not in the extension.
If you send feedback, the form delivers your message, your email address if you give one, the site language and — when you came from the extension — its version and days since install, by email to feedback@keeptik.com through Cloudflare Email Sending. Your IP address is used briefly to limit repeated submissions. We use feedback only to reply and to improve KeepTik.
Questions and deletion requests
Most KeepTik data lives in your browser, so you control it through the extension, Chrome and your files. To ask about or delete feedback you sent us, write to feedback@keeptik.com.
Your files never pass through our servers.
